James O'Keefe Speaks Out on "Hannity"; Charges Media with "Journalistic Malpractice" in Reporting of His Story - Video 2/1/10

PART 1

PART 2

Here is video of undercover filmmaker James O'Keefe on Hannity tonight to speak out for the first time about his arrest for entering the office of Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu's New Orleans office.

O'Keefe would not talk about a lot of the details of the arrest, but he did admit that he and three others were dressed as phone repairmen. He said they were trying to find out why constituents had reported not being able to get through to her office for weeks on the phone. They wanted to find out why the phones were not being answered.

Hannity questioned O'Keefe on why they did not stop and think about the fact that entering a Senator's office was different than going into an ACORN Office. O'Keefe said he knows he needs to "reflect" on what has happened and that he needs to be "a little more careful, a little more thoughtful."

O'Keefe said they never had any intention, or had never even thought about "interfering with phones." He charged the media with "journalistic malpractice" in the way they have reported his story.

Gibbs Asked About Obama Reaction to Bizarre MSNBC Quotes; Says Obama Does Not Watch Cable TV - Video 2/1/10

Here is video from the White House Daily Briefing today, where Robert Gibbs was asked how President Obama felt about two comments made on MSNBC the past several months.

He was asked by Lester Kinsolving:
"Last June, Newsweek’s editor, Evan Thomas, on MSNBC, said the President is “sort of God.” Last week on MSNBC, Chris Matthews said the President is “post-racial. I forgot he was black tonight for an hour.” What is the President’s reaction to these two MSNBC revelations?"

Gibbs' response:
"Smartly, the President does not occupy his time watching cable television."

So, Obama does not watch MSNBC, like most of America! Gibbs looked like the question really got under his skin after he answered.

GOP's Jeb Hensarling Destroys MSNBC's Chris Matthews on Obama Deficit Spending - Video 2/1/10

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Here is video of GOP Texas Rep. Jeb Hensarling destroying MSNBC's Chris Matthews on the discussion of President Obama's deficit spending and his proposed Federal Budget. It so frustrated Chris Matthews that he resorted to an old Democrat trick, as he tried to corner Hensarling into saying he wanted to "cut" Social Security Benefits in order to balance the budget.

Matthews kept putting words in Hensarling's mouth, trying to take Hensarling's conviction that we must "reform" the way we plan to deal with Social Security for those now 55 and under, and assert that "reform" equals "cut."

On the merits of Obama's deficit spending, Matthews tried to absolve Obama of responsibility by saying he "inherited" a huge deficit from President Bush. But Hensarling would not let him do so, reminding Matthews that only Congress can spend money, and the deficit he inherited was from a Democrat Congress!

Jake Tapper Challenges Robert Gibbs "Isn't the Whole Point of being President to 'Man Up' and Make Tough Decisions?" - Video 2/1/10

Here is video of ABC News' Jake Tapper today challenging White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs on his constant whining and blaming of Republicans for not supporting the Obama Agenda. After listening to this again from Gibbs, Tapper said:

"But isn't the whole point of being President and controlling the House and Senate to 'man up' and make these tough decisions whether or not it costs you at the ballot box in November?"

Everyone knows that the Democrats could have passed their entire agenda without a single Republican vote for a full year. It is the radical nature of the agenda, having angered the American people, that has kept the Democrats from ramming their full agenda through.

"Morning Joe" Crew Compares Obama to "Ted Williams" Hitting a Fastball "Out of the Park" - Video 2/1/10

Here is video from Morning Joe today where a gushing Joe Scarborough quoted Mike Allen and likened President Obama's performance at the GOP House Conference last week to "Ted Williams" hitting a fastball served up by the GOP. He was talking to liberal Al Hunt, who agreed that Obama "hit it out of the park" with a "dazzling performance."

Clearly the inside-the-beltway media were dazzled by Obama - as they usually are. But that does not mean the American people were as dazzled by Obama's lecturing tone.

Female Suicide Bomber Kills 46 People in Iraq - Video Report 2/1/10

Here is a video report on a female suicide bomber attack that killed 46 people in Iraq today, and wounded at least another 122:

A female suicide bomber on Monday killed at least 46 Shiite pilgrims in northern Baghdad who were making an annual pilgrimage to the holy city of Karbala.

The attack, the latest in a string of violence in Iraq, wounded at least another 122 pilgrims, according to a senior Iraqi interior ministry official. The pilgrims had embarked on an annual walk to the southern city of Karbala as part of a Shiite Islamic commemoration that culminates Friday.

"A suicide attacker wearing a belt of explosives targeted pilgrims on the main road in Bob al-Sham district, northern Baghdad around 12:30 p.m.," said the official.

The attack is the latest in a series of large-scale bombings in and around Baghdad. Last Monday, bombers targeted three Baghdad hotels. The following day, a vehicle-borne suicide bomb detonated near an investigations directorate, part of the ministry of interior. . . . MORE

Obama Sends Congress Budget that Projects Record $1.56 Billion Deficit for 2010 - Video 2/1/10

Here is a video report outlining President Obama's budget for fiscal year 2011 (begins Oct. 1) that projects a nearly $1.6 Trillion Deficit for 2010, and massive deficits for years into the future:

WASHINGTON—The U.S. will post a budget deficit of $1.267 trillion in fiscal 2011, the White House said Monday, in a $3.834 trillion budget that looks to strike a balance between spurring job creation in the near term and addressing the nation's fiscal woes over the next decade.

The Obama administration's budget request, set for release at 10 a.m. EST, but previewed for reporters late Sunday, calls for $1.2 trillion in deficit reduction over the next 10 years, largely through a proposed fee on big banks, the elimination of tax preferences for oil, gas and coal companies, a three-year freeze on nonsecurity discretionary spending, and the expiration of Bush-era tax cuts for wealthier households.

In the current fiscal year, which ends in September, the White House projects a budget gap of $1.556 trillion, or 10.6% of gross domestic product. That's slightly larger than the $1.502 trillion deficit the administration forecast in August for fiscal 2010. In fiscal 2009, the deficit was $1.413 trillion, or 9.9% of GDP.

Next year, the $1.267 trillion deficit would amount to 8.3% of GDP, a level that the White House predicts will gradually decline to 3.9% by fiscal 2014. The deficit wouldn't drop to President Barack Obama's goal of 3% of GDP by the end of his term, but would meet another goal of halving the gap that existed when he took office. . . . MORE
