RNC Chairman Michael Steele Says Rand Paul’s “Philosophy is Misplaced for These Times” – Video 5/23/10
Here is video of Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele, and Democrat National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine on Fox News Sunday today with Chris Wallace.
Wallace first asked Kaine about Connecticut Democrat Richard Blumenthal's lying about his having served "in Vietnam, when he actually never did. Kaine said it was important to set the record straight, but that the people of Connecticut know Blumenthal and like him.
Kaine also commented on Joe Sestak, and whether or not he was offered a job by the Obama White House in order to get him to drop his Senate bid against Arlen Specter. Kaine said he really does not have any knowledge as to whether an offer was made, but he personally knows of nothing like that happening.
On Rand Paul, GOP Chairman Steele said he believes Paul's "philosophy is misplaced for these times." Steele said, "He let philosophy get ahead of reality."
The media has distorted what Paul said, and now they will use Steele's comments as evidence that what they are saying is true. Paul never called for repealing the Civil Rights Act. While Michael Steele is RNC Chairman, it is his job to advance the cause of the GOP and Republican candidates. The last thing he needs to be doing is bashing the GOP U.S. Senate nominee in Kentucky. He needs to learn when it comes to GOP Candidates, "if you can't say something good, don't say anything at all." If he can't learn that, he doesn't need to be RNC Chairman.
