A power outage at the U.S. Capitol yesterday ended testimony being given by former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan. The video shows Rep. Phil Angelides talking to Greenspan with everything went dark. Staffers then tried to open curtains to provide light in the room.
The Hill reports that Greenspan eventually gave up and left the hearing when power did not return because he had difficulty hearing without the help of microphones.
Angelides reportedly told Greenspan, "you gave a lights-out performance."
