Obama Slams Arizona Immigration Law as "Irresponsible," and Undermining "Basic Notions of Fairness" - Video 4/23/10

Here is video of President Obama today slamming the then pending Arizona Immigration Law that he called "irresponsible," and a bill that threatens to "undermine basic notions of fairness."

The Arizona bill, just signed into law, gives authorities there broader power to check the immigration status of people and to detain them.

Obama said:

"Our failure to act responsibly at the federal level will only open the door to irresponsibility by others. That includes, for example the recent efforts in Arizona, which threaten to undermine basic notions of fairness that we cherish as Americans."
Obama may use the Arizona law as his justification for pushing Immigration higher up on the agenda.

Hello All,

Lets be clear! Our President has the same first amendment right of free speech as you or I to voice his opinion. However, in his position as President the people of the US are not likely going to see the difference in him voicing his personal opinion and him trying to influence issues by speaking as the President.

The tenth amendment is very clear, the president shall have NO influence on State laws and issues, unless those State issue cross the Constitutional line of the Delineated Powers of the Legislative or the Executive branches of Government.

In this Arizona issue the President should be keeping his mouth shut!!!

Once again Obama is over stepping his authority as President, no different then he did in the "Beer Conference".

As Always, Thanks Shane (Hangmann747)
