Newt Gingrich Says New GOP Congress in 2011 Will Refuse to Fund Obama's Radical Agenda - Video 4/8/10

Here is video of Newt Gingrich speaking at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference, April 8, 2010. Gingrich reminded Obama and the Democrats that while it is true "Elections have Consequences," it is also true that "Consequences lead to Elections." Gingrich said that "Obama, Pelosi and Reid" are the "consequences" of the 2006 and 2008 elections, but their radical agenda and the consequences of their leadership will have to face the 2010 and 2012 elections.

Gingrich said, "When" Republicans win back the House and Senate this Fall, the new GOP Congress will simply "refuse to fund" Obama's radical agenda. Gingrich said that will be "Stage one of the end of Obamaism."

I wish that Mr. Gingrich would address the broader picture concerning the unconstitutionally big federal government. Mr. Gingrich should point out that the constitutionally inept state legislatures have not been doing their jobs to keep the federal government on its constitutional leash. Consequently, citizens are now burdened with illegal federal laws and illegal federal taxes.

In fact, not only did the Founders make the 10th Amendment to reserve the lion's share of government power to serve the people to the states, not the Oval Office and Congress, but Chief Justice Marshall had decided the following. Justice Marshall had established the following case precedent, now wrongy ignored by both federal and state lawmakers, which appropriately prohibits Congress from laying taxes in the name of state power issues.

"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." --Chief Justice Marshall, GIBBONS V. OGDEN, 1824.

So not only is federal Obamacare, for example, constitutionally unauthorized, evidenced by the Constitution's silence about public healthcare, but Congress never had the power to lay taxes to fund Obamacare.

But citizens can throw off the yoke of slavery to the federal government by doing the following. Citizens need to elect pro-state sovereignty lawmakers to both the federal and state legislatures in this year's midterm elections. Then pro-state sovereignty lawmakers can use their legislative votes to protect citizens form illegal federal government interference in their lives, including illegal taxes. (Are you listening bankrupt California?)
