Here is a new NRCC ad against liberal Democrat Mark Critz who is trying to take the special election seat (PA-12) of the late Democrat Rep. John Murtha in Pennsylvania. The ad points out how Democrats like Critz put the "liberal agenda" ahead of what is good for the people of Pennsylvania. This kind of ad could become a template for running against Democrats all over the country this November.
Tim Burns is the Republican seeking the seat, but is not mentioned in the ad. The Special Election will be held May 18.
UPDATE: It has been pointed out to me that Republican Lt. Col. Bill Russell is also seeking the seat. I was not aware of that when this post was made.
UPDATE 2: Here is more clarification on who is opposing Critz, first in the May 18 Special Election to fill out the rest of Murtha's term, and then who will run for the GOP in November (Thanks to "randita" at Free Republic):
It’s confusing. Burns IS the GOP candidate for the May 18 Special Election to determine who will serve out the rest of Murtha’s term. Also on May 18, there is a primary to determine the GOP candidate in the November election which will decide who will serve for the next two years (starting in Jan., 2011).
Both Burns and Russell are running in the GOP primary to be on the ballot in Nov.
