Navy to Name Ship U.S.S. Murtha In Honor of John Murtha, The Man Who Accused Marines of Murder? - Video 4/16/10

MSNBC talks to James Robbins about the Navy's controversial decision to name a ship in honor of the deceased U.S. Rep. John Murtha, who is well known for his criticism of the Iraq war and his accusation that Marines, "Killed in cold blood." Robbins said, "The Navy can do better."

Here is a video of Murtha accusing the Marines of being murderers, and saying they, "Killed in cold blood."

The vessel's motto could be "NEVER Faithful".

It will be the sister ship of the USS Benedict Arnold.

Idiot thing to write about a distinguished and proven veteran and statesman. Read the actual military investigations, before labeling him a traitor. No, Murtha did not say that all the Marines did murder. He was correct in that some Marines committed involuntary manslaughter (in reality it was much more). Who do you honor, Murtha who served with honor; or some lowlife that muddied the Marines reputation?
