Karl Rove Says Charlie Crist "Had a Sense of Entitlement"; Comments on Bush "Poison Scare" Just After 9/11 - Video
Here is video of Karl Rove on Fox News today, where he commented on Florida Gov. Charlie Crist's decision to run as an Independent for the U.S. Senate against Republican Marco Rubio.
Rove said flatly, "He was going to lose," is the reason he is making this crass political step.
Rove believes voters will be turned off during the coming campaign as they see Crist for what he is. Rove said he was in Florida recently, and he was "shocked" by the level of antagonism toward Crist on the part of both Republicans and Independents who are turned off by this decision.
Crist had a "sense of entitlement," Rove said, and that has fueled his unwillingness to accept defeat at the hands of Rubio.
At the end of the video, he also comments on the "poison scare" revealed in Laura Bush's new book. Just after 9/11, the Bushes, along with several members of their traveling party on an overseas trip, became "quite ill," and there was fear they had been poisoned. Although questions remain, they apparently came down with a strange virus found in that region.
