IL Democrat Rep. Phil Hare in Full Damage-Control Mode after Saying He "Doesn't Worry About the Constitution" - Videos 4/2/10

Here is video of Illinois Democrat Rep. Phil Hare saying the U.S. Constitution "is near and dear to me," just one day after having been caught on video saying he "doesn't worry about the Constitution," when asked where in the Constitution the Congress had the authority to pass ObamaCare.

Hare complained about the "gotcha journalism" of today, and said he had been "taken out of context."

Watch the video below (Via SharpElbows.net) of what Hare said, and it does not sound like he was taken out of context. It sounds like he is clearly saying he just wanted to pass ObamaCare to provide Government help to 32 million people and he really didn't care whether there was Constitutional authority to do it or not! He's now in full damage-control mode.

The family photo (facing the camera) on his desk is a nice touch, no?

You hate the constitution, Phil... you can't cover it up with a lie.

Hare is favoring the pulling the heart strings humanitarian argument that runs rough shod over the constitution over respecting the constitution. Get ready for a lot of this tactic. Ignoring the constitution will sink the country despite how many handouts you give people. A huge financial debt, the loss of freedoms and expansion of government is the price you pay for Hare's argument and this too will surely sink the country -- there is a better way.

The fat SOB is flipping us the bird throughout the video.

Nice try, Phil. Somehow, though, I smell burning rubber as you try to throw your earlier comments in reverse. "Out of context"? Okay, what about those ugle, false charges made by your esteemed party members re the Tea Party "racist epithets"? Those, you might say, are beyond "out of context" they're "out of bounds". And you, as a Congressman, are soon "out of office".
