Obama Adviser David Axelrod Says Americans Don't "Know or Care About Parliamentary Procedures" - Video 3/14/10
It's come to this. After an entire year of being unable to make the case to the American People for Government-run Health Care, Democrats are ready to ram through ObamaCare using methods that hinge on their belief the American People are too stupid to know what they are doing.
Here is video of Chief Obama Adviser David Axelrod saying Americans "don't know or care much about the sequencing of parliamentary procedures." That's what they are counting on. So they are ready to use underhanded tactics to do what they can't get done in the light of day using the accepted process. Axelrod is as much as admitting they are going to flout the Parliamentary Rules to get this done.
Of course, Tom Brokaw, in giving the sequence to come this week, simply said the House will vote on the Senate Bill and then also a package of reconciliation fixes to the bill. He did NOT point out that the Democrats are planning to use the "Slaughter Rule" to avoid ever really voting up or down on the Senate Bill itself. They want to vote only on the package of fixes to the bill, and include a rule that "deems" the Senate Bill to have been passed as they vote on the fixes.
