New "Whip Count" Still Has House Democrats 11 Votes Short of Passing Senate Health Bill

A new "Whip Count" is up at FireDogLake on how the Senate Health Care bill stands in the House. David Dayen has been doing an excellent job of giving updates and keeping track of House members and which camp they are moving into. We are on opposite sides of this issue, but I commend him for keeping such a good count for everyone.

As of 10:00 am today, he now has it 205 in favor, 209 against (including leaners). Without leaners, it stands at 190-206. He summarizes where it stands by saying:

So they (Democrats) need 26 out of the remaining uncommitted 35. If you’re counting leaners, Democrats need 11 of the last 17 uncommitted.
