Latest House Vote "Whip Count" Still has Democrats 11 Votes Short Despite Kucinich Switch

A news House Vote Whip Count is up at Firedoglake.com. David Dayen has the count at 205 in favor and 209 against (with leaners), leaving the Democrats still 11 votes short of what they need to pass the Senate Health Care Bill. This despite Democrat Rep. Dennis Kucinich's decision to flip his vote from "No" to "Yes." If you take "leaners" out, the count stands at 191 "Yes", and 206 "No."

Dayen and Firedoglake are liberals, but he has done an outstanding job keeping up with the votes. Dayen sums up what Democrats need:

"So they (Democrats) need 25 out of the remaining uncommitted 34. If you’re counting leaners, Democrats need 11 of the last 17 uncommitted.. ."  MORE
