Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels May Seek 2012 GOP Presidential Nomination - Video

Here is a video report on Indiana GOP Gov. Mitch Daniels and the possibility that he may run for the GOP Presidential Nomination in 2012. He is now agreeing to keep the door open to a run.

Daniels has been a very successful Governor of Indiana, managing to turn a state budget deficit into a surplus WITHOUT raising taxes. He also won in Indiana by a sizeable margin in 2008 even though Obama won the state in the Presidential Election.

Some commentators - like Mona Charen - are calling Daniels the "anti-Obama," which just may be what the country is yearning for by the time 2012 rolls around!

anti-Obama? How? He's for more government-run healthcare, and while he doesn't seem to be interested in abortion and family issues, Daniels is for more taxes on tobacco. He's against school vochers and in favor of the "renewable energy" idiocy. A moderate to progressive RINO is hardly the anti-Obama we need.

Your take on Daniels is very interesting. Quite a number of conservatives are starting to mention Daniels' name, which does not seem to jive with what you shared in your comment.
