Chris Matthews Says Failure to Pass New ObamaCare Bill in Senate Could be "the End of the Democratic Party" - Video 2/25/10

Here is video of MSNBC's Chris Matthews today giving his take on the "Health Care Summit," where he said that if the House Democrats are able to pass a new Health Care Bill in the House, the Senate MUST follow through and pass the bill or "it’s the end of the Democratic Party. I think. They are absolutely, at that point, so much exposed they have to pass it in the Senate."

The Democrats are going to say "we tried" to the people back home... but the American people will know better. November will see that out. The Democrats are in self delusion if they follow Obama.

Mattress doesn't care as long as the tingles keep coming as he sleepwalks through his wet dream. Obama doesn't care what the people want and he's looking more like a Sith from Star Wars every day (seriously). The ship of state guided by the Lord Sith will flounder like the Titanic -- which they also said was to big to fail.

Nobody still calls out Obama's lies which McCain could easily have done in the exchange. He could have said "Well, at least, I keep my campaign promises." At least the Republicans showed liked they knew their stuff and weren't totally bewitched in Blair House.

@Blind Eye Jones. McCain doesn't really have to keep a campaign promise since he LOST. But if you want an example of how ignorant you are then he back pedaled about the whole "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" thing pretty quick. I'm sure it's not because he's trying to get re-elected, he is old he probably just forgot he would support a repeal if Military Heads did.

As for Republicans knowing their stuff: all they did was whine and moan...but didn't offer an idea or a plan. How can your stance be "gov't" can decide what's best for the people if your job is TO MAKE LAWS THAT DECIDE WHAT IS BEST FOR THE PEOPLE? It's like saying dentists shouldn't decide what's best for you, the patient should decide because they know what hurts and what doesn't.

The only chance Repluplican'ts do have is based on the ignorance of people like you.

The Republicans presented plan after plan yesterday. They want to step-by-step fix what's wrong, not throw the entire current system out and create a new Government-run bureaucracy. They don't want to destroy the greatest Health Care in the world that 85% of the country is served by and happy with. It's the Democrats who refuse to fix the things that are wrong one-by-one.

Anonymous, I think if McCain promised something on the campaign trail he should keep it -- whether he wins or loses. If he said the health care system needs to be fixed and that he'd help it then he should whether he is president or not.

The Republicans offered good advice -- the most important to my mind is tort reform. Their secondary good advice is that the public doesn't want health reform the way it has been presented by the Democrats with the backroom deals, the payoffs, the special interest groups, the lack of transparency and total disrespect for the public wishes. Excluding the Republicans from the talks also doesn't bode well for the Democrats. And we haven't even touched on the substance of the bill yet. So once Mattress starts to talk about what is staring both him and the president in the face (public aversion to the bill and how it was put together) nothing good will come to the Democratic party or Obama.

Its amazing how smart people can become so blinding stupid to the obvious. What amazes me is the complete lack of common sense with the Democrats. How did they get to the heights power and be so doltish now? Where did they give up their sanity? No matter, Obama will take the whole lot down with him.
