Bill O'Reilly Asks "Are You a Socialist?"; Cites Poll Showing 53% of Dems have Positive View of Socialism - Video

Here is video of Bill O'Reilly last night doing his "Talking Points Memo," where he asked the question "Are you a Socialist?"

He cited a shocking Gallup Poll which found that 36% of Americans have a positive view of "Socialism," and a whopping 53% of Democrats! O'Reilly defined "Socialism" as "the exact opposite of "Capitalism":

"Socialism says the government has the right to control/and or seize private property and regulate the distribution of goods."

"In other words," O'Reilly said, "the government has all the power and you have none."

O'Reilly said the Obama Administration has tried to implement some "socialist tenets," but stopped short of calling Obama an outright socialist.

O'Reilly closed by saying "Socialism" has no place in the United States, and he believes Americans will ultimately reject it.

Obama doesn't want your house Bill? He says he doesn't but he is a liar of the first disorder. Of course he wants your house and he was the one who said he was not a friend of Bill Ayers -- which you believed. He said no taxes and guess what America!

Regarding Gallop's poll on socialism, O'Reilly didn't mention if Gallup pollsters asked people to define socialism before asking their opinion about socialism. After all, given that many people voted for Obama simply because he is black, people possibly have a positive view of socialism simply because it is a word that Obama occasionally reads from his teleprompter.

I don't think Gallup tried to define "Socialism" for people in the survey. For 53% of Democrats to have a positive view of Socialism, it means they either know what it means are truly agree with the ideology, or they are clueless about what it really is. Either alternative is not good.
