Supreme Court 5-4 Decision Gives Corporations Free Speech Rights in Political Campaigns - Video 1/21/10
Here is a video report on a major U.S. Supreme Court 5-4 decision to give Corporations the same First Amendment rights as individuals in political campaigns. The High Court struck down Campaign Finance prohibitions against Corporations paying for political advertising.
In general, Democrats are howling, and Republicans are glad. I believe this is a victory for the First Amendment. Why should a Leftist billionaire like George Soros be free to fund the myriad of attack ads and organizations that he funds, but a Corporation not have the right to exercise free speech by backing the candidate they prefer?
Both should be free to speak their mind. The Supreme Court just helped make that possible.

Perhaps because a corporation is NOT an individual, and thus has no "mind" to speak.
