Sen. Joe Lieberman Says He Could See Himself Running as a "Good Old-Fashioned Moderate New England Republican" in 2012 - Video

Via Gateway Pundit
Here is video of Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman in a local news interview yesterday where he said he could see himself running as a "good old-fashioned moderate New England Republican" in 2012, when he will be up for re-election to the U.S. Senate.

Lieberman was run out of the Democrat Party in 2006 for his support of the Surge Strategy and the Iraq War, and was defeated in the Democrat Primary. But he ran in the Fall Campaign as an Independent and defeated the Democrat nominee, Ned Lamont!

Lieberman said in this interview he could really see himself running as any of the three - Democrat, Independent, Republican - but clearly seems comfortable as an Independent.

There are many issues I don't agree with Lieberman on, but I will always respect him for the courageous stand he took in support of the Iraq War and the Surge Strategy that absolutely worked. He paid a real price for it, but stood on conviction and principle.
