Rush Limbaugh Tells Press they Found "Nothing Wrong" with his Heart; Praises U.S. Health Care as "Best in the World" - Video 1/1/10

Here is video of Rush Limbaugh speaking to the press today from the hospital in Hawaii where he said tests done on him show absolutely "nothing wrong" with his heart. Limbaugh said doctors do not know why he experienced chest pains on Wednesday.

Limbaugh took the opportunity to praise the medical staff, as well as first responders for their outstanding work, and said the United States has "the best health care in the world." Limbaugh said there is "nothing wrong with America's Health Care System."

Limbaugh was asked at the end if he is taking "pain killers" for a back condition, and Limbaugh said "No - Prednisone" - which is a steroid.

Rush looked and sounded strong, and was great as usual! This is great news!

The worse thing that could have happened to this country would be for Rush to die. We would have lost a powerful voice for freedom.

Thank GOD he is alive and well.

Amen, Anonymous! This is great news!

As usual you provided the most up-to-date video possible. I was so glad to see Rush up and talking again. Especially the news that his heart is fine.

OK, the people who rooted for Rush to die were nut jobs. But, c'mon, "The worse thing that could have happened to this country would be for Rush to die"??? That's more than a little over the top in the other direction.

I wouldn't trade one of our kids' lives in Iraq or Afghanistan for one Rush Limbaugh.

I wonder if we've heard the last of this episode; Prednisone doesn't cause chest pains.

Rush did not say "Prednisone" caused the chest pains. In fact, at the press conference he said they do not know what caused them - it just was not heart trouble. He answered "Prednisone" to the question as to whether he was taking "pain pills" for his back condition.

For many years, Rush Limbaugh was virtually the ONLY voice on air that was articulating conservative positions and principles on issues and events. He is still one of a relative handful when compared to the three major networks, MSNBC, CNN, CNBC, etc.

It is impossible for you on the Left to identify with a conservative who has had to deal with the incredible prejudice by the media as a whole against anyone and anything conservative for decades. Rush Limbaugh is one voice - but his voice has been strong and true for conservatives for over 20 years.

I would daresay that some of the people most pleased that he is going to be OK are the soldiers you referenced, because Rush Limbaugh has been a strong and faithful defender of them all these years. He has championed the the noble nature of the work they do in liberating people in Iraq and Afghanistan, and in being the defenders of freedom around the world.

Every life is precious - from the womb to the tomb and beyond. That includes those on the Left and the Right - and yes, it includes Rush Limbaugh.

Was so glad to see this. He looks good and healthy, just the way we want him. Here's to many more years Rush! Ready for you to get back to work too. LOL. I've missed my "best 3 hours of radio"!

Jennifer,  January 2, 2010 at 12:05 AM

Correction...I think that's the "fastest 3 hours of radio" or something like that. See, he's been gone too long, I'm already forgetting stuff!

Did the doctors fail to find any heart damage, or did they simply fail to find a heart?

Just wonderin'... :-)

Brian January 2, 2010 at 6:06 PM

Rush has a wonderful heart - it's just not a "bleeding heart."
