Axelrod, Gibbs Won't Agree Brown Victory is a "Wake-Up Call" to Obama and the Democrats - Video 1/20/10

Here is telling video of David Axelrod and White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs on MSNBC this morning where they would not agree that Scott Brown's victory in Massachusetts was a "wake-up call" to President Obama and the Democrats.

Axelrod said it is "not an option" to "walk away" from their plans to push ObamaCare through the Congress, but he would not elaborate on what their "tactics" will be.

Axelrod looks hauntingly similar to Hitler.

As somebody in cyberspace has already mentioned, Martha Coakley was, figurtively speaking, a Democratic canary in a coal mine. Given that Coakley lost the special election, the Democratic canary is dead. So Democrats need to face the reality that they are in serious trouble with the voters.

Passing Obamacare despite the political significance of Coakley's loss would be equivalent to lighting a cigarette in a mine shaft with a dead canary, IMO. But given that way that some diehard Democrats have already expressed their desire to try to salvage healthcare legislation, and all the "nonexistent" earmarks in that legislation, I'm not sure that they aren't stupid enough to light up.
