14 Year-Old Conservative Predicts Easy Republican Win in 2012 - Video 3/1/09

The 13 year-old Conservative Prodigy Jonathan Krohn has now turned 14 -- today (Happy Birthday!)! Krohn wowed CPAC the other day with his speech there. He appeared on Fox and Friends this morning where he predicted a Republican victory in 2012 at the rate President Barack Obama is going. Krohn says he thinks Obama will turn out to be another Jimmy Carter, and that Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin or Bobby Jindal will have an "easy time" winning in 2012. This kid articulates the conservative message in an amazingly clear way. And he has something Republicans need right now besides the focus on core principles -- OPTIMISM!

Gov. Mitt Romney Speech at CPAC 2009 - Video 2/28/09

In all the furor yesterday over Rush Limbaugh's tremendous speech at CPAC, I failed to post video of Gov. Mitt Romney's speech. So the video above is of Romney's speech at CPAC 2009. If you want to skip the introductions, Romney actually begins speaking at the 13:00 mark of the video.

Romney turned out to be the winner of the CPAC 2012 Straw Poll, getting 20% of the vote, with Jindal running second at 14%. So, it was a very good day for Romney, who is in a strong position to run again if he chooses to.

White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel Says Limbaugh is "praying for Obama to fail" - Video 3/1/09

Here is video of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel talking today on CBS News' Face the Nation with Bob Schieffer. Emanuel was his usual slick self, carefully not responding directly to most of the questions put to him by Schieffer. Even when Schieffer challenged him on some of his answers, Emanuel continued his avoidance tactics.

Emanuel went after Rush Limbaugh saying he is "praying for Obama to fail." I'm not sure I have heard Rush say that exactly, that he is praying for it, but he certainly has said he hopes Obama fails in his efforts to turn America into a Socialist country. Emanuel's comments about Rush Limbaugh come at the end of the video, beginning at the 11:50 mark. The whole video is enlightening as to the way the White House will do one thing and then say exactly the opposite. For example, talk about fiscal responsibility even while proposing a budget that would enlarge the size of government far beyond the ability of the nation to pay for it!

GOP Chairman Michael Steele Calls Limbaugh Comments "Incendiary and Ugly" - Video 2/28/09

Here is video of Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele talking with CNN's D.L. Hughley last night, and calling comments made by Rush Limbaugh during his speech to CPAC "incendiary and ugly." Steele said Limbaugh is not the de facto leader of the Republican Party, and that he is an "entertainter."

This is exactly the point Rush Limbaugh was trying to make in his speech. Republicans need to stop worrying about what the D.L. Hughley's think! They will never like conservatives or Republicans, because they are liberals! Steele should not have disavowed, in effect, what Rush said. He should have hammered home the core principles set forth by Limbaugh in his speech.
