William Shatner Interviews Rush Limbaugh on Health Care; Asks Rush "How Do You Know" You are Right? - Video

Here is a video clip of actor William Shatner interviewing Rush Limbaugh on an upcoming episode of his Biography Show "Raw Nerve," where he questioned Rush on Health Care. The two go back and forth, with Shatner asking Rush how he knows that what he says about Health Care is right. Rush responds:

"It's my job. It's my life. It's my career. It's my passion."

Liked him better as Denny Crane.

Rush as aways get directly to the heart of the matter. He know, because he doesn't simply accept what he is told. He follows his calling and does his job. He actually studies and investigates the questions at hand and finds the real answers.

"He know because" see those are the people who follow rush. If they were educated they would know he was a liar and idiot. Loved kirk though, way to go bill.

Rush doesn`t get it. He comes from a family who never wanted for anything and he is insensitive to the needs of poor people. To him health care is like a house. At least with a house, a lower income person has a roof over his head when it rains and hopefully a little heat when it is cold even if he lives in a bungalow. With health care, you either have it or you don`t. With health care, you are either as wealthy as Rush or you are homeless!

Rush reminded me of Scrooge in the Christmas Carol, “If they rather die they better do it and decrease the surplus population!”

After all if you wanted good healthcare you should have become rich (which is easy if your smart and work hard!), got a government job, moved to Canada, had rich parents, a rich wife, or a rich uncle that likes you.

A low wage slacker or unemployed bum who gets cancer deserves to die. And as for those small business people who put everything into their private enterprise no insurance is part of the thrill, the risk of getting sick and losing every thing!

Of course if you live long enough you get Medicare and suffer the ravages of socialist medicine.

That’s why Congressional Republicans oppose Medicare cuts, they know the more money we put into the system now the fewer seniors there will be later, thus solving the deficit by eliminating the non-productive population. Retirement Indeed!

It is strange on how those who promote Social Darwinism (and take modern medications!) reject to evolution in textbooks.

Rush sees no difference between home ownership and healthcare, I see no difference between healthcare and fire fighting.

We should return back to the days of Adam Smith and privatize the fire departments. If your house is on fire you should pay to get it put out. Private insurance companies should run the fire departments, or your local neighborhood association.

Think of how much exercise you will be getting working the hand pump after being waked up at 3 am to put out Bob’s house down the street.

And don’t be some New Deal Democrat and loan your hose to the effort with just the expectation you’ll get it back after the fire, you make Bob pay for it! After all remember what Ayn Rand said, “You’re not fighting the fire for his benefit, but for yours!”

And what’s with all these towns and cities with public water systems? They should be privatized and the cost of water to douse the flames should be added to the cost of fighting the fire.

If you’re too greedy to buy protection or choose to rent from a shady landlord, and your home or flat goes up in flames, too bad! It’s urban renewal.

Publicly financed and run fire fighting only encourages people to engage in risky behaviors like smoking in bed, lighting candles, and utilizing wore out electrical cables in overloaded sockets for Christmas!

In the end you should not be forced to pay property taxes, to have homeowners insurance, and then have to be pestered by building inspectors.

After all it’s not like New York City in the 19th century ever burnt down and think of all the fun when rival private companies show up and then fight outside your house, with the winner later looting the remains for payment.

No Government! No Taxes!

Rush actually, truly believes all of the bs that he spouts.. He should have lost all credability and his job when he was found to be a junky. All those years of telling drug addicts where they could go and the whole time he is one..

The whole republican party are hypocrites and Rush is the biggest of the bunch. I would love to see him broke and jobless. It would take seconds for him to change..

I know someone who doesn't have health insurance. He's 52 years old. He's worried about this healthcare thing because he can't afford the insurance because he pays child support but he makes too much money (before they take the child support)to get free insurance. He's afraid that he's going to go to jail. I told him if that happens, hey, free food, man! You gotta look at the silver lining and ignore the clouds.
