Rev. Franklin Graham Tells CNN Anchor "Trust me Girl - You Don't Want to Live" where Islamic Law is Dominant - Video 12/10/09

Here is video of Rev. Franklin Graham talking to CNN's Campbell Brown about the War in Afghanistan and President Obama's speech in accepting the Nobel Peace Prize.

He was also asked about Islam. Franklin Graham said "true Islam cannot be practiced in this country (America). You cannot beat your wife, you cannot murder your children if you think they commit adultery, as they do in these other countries." He pointed to Saudi Arabia as an example of a whole nation devoted to Islam that lives this way. Graham said wherever Islamic Sharia Law is practiced, this is how people are treated.

Campbell Brown was disbelieving. Graham told her:
"Where Sharia Law is the law of the land, Campbell - trust me girl - you don't want to live there."
Graham said many Muslims living under the oppressive Sharia Law want to get out of Islam, but they cannot. He pointed out he has worked in Muslim countries for 50 years, and has many Islamic friends. Graham said there are millions of wonderful Muslim people, but where Islam is dominant, he finds it to be a very "violent religion." Graham said more than 2 million Christians have been killed in Southern Sudan by the Muslim majority there.

Campbell is probably thinking that the Mosque down the street doesn't have harsh practices and it is Islam. So, to her, Islam is open to interpretation; whereas the Rev. sees how it is practiced in other countries and the various brutality. So what is more genuinely Islam? The soft practices that you find in North America or the harsh practices you find around the world? Or are they both genuinely Islamic?

She is just thinking of all the great charitable services that the Muslims provide. All the aid that they send to the poor and downtrodden, the aid they provide after disasters world wide. All the help they sent to New Orleans and Texas during the recent hurricanes. All the wonderful things that they do to support Women's rights....

How can GROWN adult women in the US be so damn ignorant??!! I knew about the horrible conditions of women under the Taliban a year before 9/11. I became interested when they blew up the Buddahs.

I found this interview a positively refreshing change from the politically correct hogwash that usually is aired. Islam in America is NOT Islam in Southern Sudan or Saudi Arabia. It is difficult for someone in a free country founded on Christian values to comprehend the oppression countenanced by a true Islamic government. Brown was shocked to hear someone throw her a fastball after she threw them a curve.

2012 Possible GOP Contenders: Power Rankings

Here is a list of possible GOP Contenders for the 2012 Republican Nomination for President. They are listed in “Power Ranked” order based on our subjective analysis of how strong the candidates would be should they decide to seek the nomination. The rankings are NOT based on how strong the candidates would be in winning in a General Election against President Obama. The rankings will be adjusted day to day as events and information warrant. Rankings do not indicate an endorsement or preference for a particular candidate. Candidates included are those who have either indicated they may run, or individuals for which there is great speculation they will run.
