Jonathan Martin Says Sarah Palin "Walking Back" Obama Birth Certificate Remarks - Video 12/4/09

Here is video of MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell today talking with Politico's Jonathan Martin about Gov. Sarah Palin's remarks yesterday that President Obama's Birth Certificate is "fair game" as an issue. Martin said Palin tried to "walk back" her comments today by making a post on her Facebook at 1:00 AM in which she said she has never questioned President Obama's Birth Certificate.

Martin seems to think Palin made the comments because she knew she was talking to a conservative audience, and did not think about it getting out to a wider audience.

Palin saying she has not questioned the birth certificate is not at odds with saying the issue is "fair game" for the public to ask questions about and receive answers. When it comes down to it, anything the American people want to ask of a candidate is "fair game," isn't it?

Good point and, ummmm... where is that birth certificate? Why can't Obama just show it for all the doubters? Maybe there is as much truth to the existence of the birth certificate as there is that Obama wrote his own book (which Bill Ayers -- the guy Obama claims he hardly knew -- actually wrote). Yes, no sneaky lies by photo op king here, just move along.... just git along little doggies.

What abundant proof, Andrea? The photoshopped or lately created Certificate of Live Birth from Hawaii? You call that proof? I'd say the only real proof is a real regular BIRTH CERTIFICATE like most of us all have. Why has he given two different hospitals as his place of birth? It seems strange that no doctor has come forward saying that he delivered Barry. What is he hiding? Your mind is obviously made up for political reasons. Get off Sarah's case and investigate the birth certificate.

Oh, good gosh... are you birfers still whining about this crap? The certificate's been posted for ages. It's not been photoshopped. The doctor is likely dead and, if he or she isn't dead yet, you wouldn't believe it anyway! As for the "original" certificate who knows where it is? I don't have mine; most American adults don't have theirs, either.

Come back to reality. You've only got seven more years of Obama to deal with!

Americans don't have their long form BC? Really? Not from what I've read. The BC has not been posted. What's posted is the COLB which is not a birth certificate. And even images of that has been forged. That's the sad thing -- Obama should just show his BC and be done with it. McCain did it so why can't Obama! Do away with dishonesty and come clean: just show the BC.

Do you read the nonsense you're typing?

What have you read that indicates Americans DO have their long-form birth certificate, as you claim? "Birth Certificate Quarterly"? "National Review of Certificates of Birth"? Some states don't even issue a so-called long-form certificate to begin with. Others (like Hawaii) will ONLY issue a COLB, not a copy of the long-form -- if it even still exists.

And images of Obama's COLB have been forged? Where'd you get that idea? From that anonymous "photoshop expert" that disappeared from the rightwing blogs just about the time that his/her identity was about to be revealed, along with what a fraud s/he was perpetrating?

Bottom line: Obama SHOWED his birth certificate -- or, at the very least, what he had available to him -- and it still wasn't good enough for you hardcore birfers. You even forged bogus Kenyan birth certificates to try to keep your cause alive.

Buy some more aluminum foil for your hat and take the weekend off. You obviously need the rest.

2012 Possible GOP Contenders: Power Rankings

Here is a list of possible GOP Contenders for the 2012 Republican Nomination for President. They are listed in “Power Ranked” order based on our subjective analysis of how strong the candidates would be should they decide to seek the nomination. The rankings are NOT based on how strong the candidates would be in winning in a General Election against President Obama. The rankings will be adjusted day to day as events and information warrant. Rankings do not indicate an endorsement or preference for a particular candidate. Candidates included are those who have either indicated they may run, or individuals for which there is great speculation they will run.
