Gov. Tim Pawlenty to Push for Balanced Budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution - Video 12/29/09

Here is video of Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty on Fox News today where he discussed his plan to push for an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would require a balanced budget.

Pawlenty said the public is increasingly worried about Government spending, and believes it is time to do something about. He believes the constitutional amendment would be the mechanism to force both parties to do something about spending.

Pawlenty is likely to run for the GOP Presidential Nomination in 2012.

2012 Possible GOP Contenders: Power Rankings

Here is a list of possible GOP Contenders for the 2012 Republican Nomination for President. They are listed in “Power Ranked” order based on our subjective analysis of how strong the candidates would be should they decide to seek the nomination. The rankings are NOT based on how strong the candidates would be in winning in a General Election against President Obama. The rankings will be adjusted day to day as events and information warrant. Rankings do not indicate an endorsement or preference for a particular candidate. Candidates included are those who have either indicated they may run, or individuals for which there is great speculation they will run.
