Glenn Beck Responds to Attack by "Law and Order: SVU" on Beck, Limbaugh, O'Reilly - Video 12/10/09

Here is video of Glenn Beck today hammering the Left for being the ones prone to violence, even though it was Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Bill O'Reilly who were slimed last night in an episode of "Law and Order: SVU."

Beck showed a clip from the episode that aired last night which depicted a killer who was supposedly incited to violence by being a right-wing talk radio fanatic who listened to Beck, O'Reilly and Limbaugh. In the "Law and Order" episode, the three are called "a cancer spreading ignorance and hate."

Beck then proceeded to point out there have been no arrests or conservatives at any "Tea-Party Events," at the 9/12 March in Washington, or in Town Hall Meetings this summer. But, Beck chronicles example after example of Left-wingers carrying out violence and destruction.

The media tries to portray conservatives as dangerous, when it is the Leftists - who are dominated by people with no moral center - that are actually those far more likely to justify violence towards others. Beck does a good job of demonstrating that reality.

Not to quibble, but is it physically possible to "slime" slime like Beck, O'Reilly, and Limbaugh? I mean, how would you know when it happened? How could you differentiate between the original God-given slime that they have naturally, and the extra slime poured on them by a well-informed public?

Hey Larry S
Well informed by who?
Certainly not by the socialist/liberal controlled public school system, universities or colleges. And obviously not the left wing MSM with all the leftist propaganda that they propagate.

The real slime is all the noise spewing forth from the B.O. worshiping, obammuppets. The kind of people who have been hammering away at the foundations of this great nation, and who are trying so desperately to silence those of us who refuse to kowtow and bow to the messiah of the irresponsible, and F├╝hrer of the leftist elite. And the worst of the slime is made up of every word that the blame America first, waste of human flesh who is currently taking up space in the oval office.

GOD fearing Freedom loving American conservatives will never bow to B.O. or his agenda. We will fight his every attempt to rob us of our GOD given, Constitutionally recognized rights. Unlike the vile slime on the left, we do not resort to violence when there are other options. We do not need to. Our common sense, logical arguments ring more true than does the utopian emotionalism spouted by the socialist liberals.

But be very aware, if the day ever comes that we must, we are more than ready, more than willing and more than able to use whatever methods the leftist enemies of real freedom make necessary to defend our GOD given rights and our American way of life.

DAMN! That was AWESOME, No Subject!

I could actually hear the strains of "Patton" filtering through my monitor.... see the flag wrapped around your girded loins.

You only left out one thing: "I love the smell of napalm in the morning!"

Good grief, only those who do not listen to Rush, Beck or O'Reilly could have written that line. And, only those who have not listened to any of those three could have spoken that line without cracking up. Grow up, libs...you're the violent ones. You're the babies. You're the ones who want people to shut up. Too bad, we won't shut up. We plan to continue to tell and listen to the truth. Get used to it.

Law & Order SVU WAS my favorite show. This unwarrented political criticism of conservative talk-show hosts has soured me on the whole show. I will never watch it again. Fictional shows should stick to ENTERTAINMENT.

Okay, lets get a little reality based here. The character who made these statements was portrayed as a left leaning liberal lawyer who wanted to blame the right wing media for the violence. The main characters of the show, which represent the shows point of view thought this defense was BS.
Secondly, it was never mentioned that the killer actually listened to Beck, O'Rielly or Limbaugh only the fictional talk show host on the show.
If you watched the entire show, it was pretty clear that in the end the killer killed because of his own hatred not because of talk show host.
To have a fictional character that makes comments (derogatory or otherwise )about real people is a common device used to give the show a sense of real world nothing more.

As a liberal I felt that the way character in question was portrayed was an insulting exagerated charactiture of a liberal lawyer.
But I understand the purpose of that character in regards to the story.
BOTTOM LINE it is a fictional TV Show.

Did anyone actually watch the episode of Law and Order or just the rambling of that idiot Beck who took a clip from the show completely out of context.

Law and Order portrayed the lawyer defending the client as a slimeball using the situation to gain television time for his own gains. The main characters of the show did not agree with his views.

Regardless Beck's message is hateful and ignorant and spreads more of that in kind. Maybe if his viewers could wake up and tell the difference between anti-American and anti-Republican they could stop hating people different from themselves long enough to ignore his ridiculous conspiracy BS.

Ok, a reality check on the reality check for those who are defending the SVU episode (and yes, I did watch it): I wonder if you actually watched it... it's quite commical.

First, the discussion in question where the statement was made had the lawyer equating Beck, O'Reilly and Limbaugh with the over-the-top racist "right wing radio host" who was portrayed to have called on Americans to kill illegals ("send them home in a pine box").

The show only drew a line in using brainwashing by Beck, O'Reilly, Limbaugh and Made-Up-Racist-Nutcase as a legal defense... but made no effort to disconnect Beck et al. from their absurd caricature.

So no, the defense of SVU is unwarranted, and they really did mean what they said. All they did was take a strong stance against murder of children.... really taking a step out on the limb there!

Nw comes the funny part: After the liberal defends the murderer as being brainwashed by Beck, Limbaugh, O'Reilly and Jimbo McRacist, the right wing murderous villain tells the lawyer he will go back to killing.... so the supposedly misguided lawyer does what any good liberal would do.. he kills his client.

Shakespeare himself couldn't write better irony. The only difference is that Shakespeare's was intentional.

I did watch the show, and I continue to watch Law & Order: SVU. Personally, I am not a fan of ANY of the so-called "political commentators" who take a single line from someone's speech, their book, their show and twist to sum up the entire meaning of that person. That's absurd.
I did watch the entire episode, so I saw not only the comment, but also the rest of the story as it played out, and I have to agree with one of the other posts here, the depiction of the supposed "liberal lawyer" was just as bad as the naming of 3 very polarizing radio/tv personalities. Both depictions/references were bad. That having been said, it's a FICTIONAL t.v. show people!! I think that most of us who either watched the show or heard about it later (through Beck and the like) already had well-formed opinions about both "liberal lawyers" and "hate-spewing t.v./radio personalities", so what is everyone so stressed out about? If you didn't like either of those groups before, did that show really make you like them less? Or if you really didn't have an opinion about them before, did the show make you want to go out and tear down the walls of the ACLU or throw eggs in the face of Rush Limbaugh?? Probably not, because its JUST A SHOW! Get over yourselves, stop being so incredibly defensive and veiw this as most of the rest of America who watched it saw it, just another storyline in a show they find interesting.
