Here is video of Louisiana Democrat Sen. Mary Landrieu speaking on the Senate Floor today where she said she will vote for Cloture later today to allow the Senate Health Bill to move forward to open debate:
"My vote today to move forward on this important debate should in no way to be construed as . . .an indication of how I might vote as this debate comes to an end," she warned in comments on the Senate floor. "It is a vote to move forward. … But much more work needs to be done.”
A second cloture vote to close debate will be needed prior to a final vote on the bill. Landrieu appears to be holding out the possibility she may not vote to move to final passage if the bill does not change in some ways. Joe Lieberman has already said he will vote "No" on the second cloture vote if the bill still contains a Public Option, but he is going to vote for Cloture today.
