Here is video of Karl Rove talking today on Fox News about the impact of current issues on next year's 2010 mid-term elections. He talked about the 2002 mid-term, in which President George W. Bush and the GOP actually gained seats in the House. But Rove believes 2010 won't work that way for Democrats, because he thinks there is evidence some Democrats are already starting to defect from Obama. He cited the New Jersey and Virginia governors races as evidence, as well as polls that indicate the same.
The video then shows Tucker Carlson and Dan Gerstein talking about what may be ahead in the 2010 mid-terms. Tucker Carlson said he believes it is a mistake for David Axelrod and the Obama Team to try and nationalize the mid-term and make it a referendum on Obama, which is what Axelrod says they plan to do.
