Rush Limbaugh Responds in Detail to Being Dropped from Bid to Buy the St. Louis Rams - Video 10/15/09

Here is audio from today of Rush Limbaugh revealing details of his involvement in a group attempting to buy the St. Louis Rams. Rush said he was approached to be a part of the group, and that he asked Dave Checketts if he understood the "firestorm" that would result from his involvement. Rush said Checketts told him he did, and that he had cleared this with the "highest levels of the NFL."

Rush says this has happened to him because he is a conservative, and that it reflects the fact the NFL is following the lead of "Obama's America."

What a load of crap. The NFL owners are about as reactionary as they come, so it isn't because Limbaugh is a conservative. It's because Limbaugh has a big mout, and intentionally looks to stir up controversy. And controversy is something the NFL owners don't appreciate. (The players and coaches create enough on their own without the owners getting into the newspapers.)

Poor Rushie! Take six more oxycontins and call me in the morning.

Mr. Anonymous, October 15, 2009 12:02 PM is an idiot.

Probably kicked out of Huffington Post for being to far left.

He speaks the ugly truth about America under Obama. I've never known the country to be this "racist" before the election.

The Joker and his men are all about redistributing the middle class wealth to the blacks, illegals and minorities. The very wealthy elite HOPE the Joker doesn't come after them so they are playing along.
God Bless America! We are going to need it.

I've grown very bored of the casual use of "censorship" and "freedom of speech" to mean that anyone can say anything about anything without consequences. It seems to me that this episode illustrates the applicability of two values that conservatives trumpet: consequences and the wisdom of the market.

Because of what Limbaugh has said in the past, his connection to this financial transaction made it more likely to fail. He was cut from the deal because his presence adversely affected the potential profitability of the deal for all involved. The market has spoken. Adam Smith's invisible hand bitch slapped Rusty, and hard. Get over it.

It seems to me that all the negative vibes this blowhard (Rush Hudson Limbaugh A.KA. Jeff Christie) has been spewing over these many years has come back to blow back on his face (A classic “Blow Back”). He always tries to give off the airs that he can have anything he wants but as we all witness those with more money and influence tossed him aside like sack of potatoes and the ultimate insult was that it was done in public (money don’t buy you everything butterball).

Now of course he blames everyone else (Michael J. Fox, Perez Hilton, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Sonia Sotomayor, Hillary Clinton, Olympia Snowe, ESPN, NFL, the media, basically people of color, women and gays) when of course all you have to do is listen to his show and plainly hear his daily prejudices filled sermons. So NFL, I salute you decision, job well done. And to the whaling cry baby perched on his self made pedestal, quit your whining it was your own fault. Don’t we all feel better?

I sure feel better. Thanks, Paul, and Ted.
