GOP Members of Congress Call for Investigation into Muslim Non-Profit Attempt to Place Interns in Congressional Offices - Video

Here is video of GOP Members of Congress calling for an investigation into a Muslim non-profit organization - Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) - after memos have been uncovered showing the group has sought to place interns in the offices of members of Congress. According to Rep. Sue Myrick, they have particularly sought to place interns in member offices who sit on the judiciary, intelligence, and homeland security committees:

"About a year ago I learned that CAIR was trying to infiltrate the offices of members of Congress by placing interns in the offices, but I could not substantiate the rumors because I had no documentation to that effect. Now, however, author Paul Sperry, and his co-author's investigative team unearthed a 2007 memo written by CAIR which documents their stated intentions and goals to place interns in congressional offices supposedly for the purpose of influencing the policies of those members. Even more troubling, that the memo states that they are most interested in members who are serving on the judiciary, intelligence and homeland security committees."

This was nothing but a publicity stunt for that hack
s new book. Did you mention that the foreword for the book just "happened" to be written by that same Congresswoman?

Since interns don't do much more than fetch coffee (unless, of course, they worked for Bill Clinton) the Republic is pretty safe.

2012 Possible GOP Contenders: Power Rankings

Here is a list of possible GOP Contenders for the 2012 Republican Nomination for President. They are listed in “Power Ranked” order based on our subjective analysis of how strong the candidates would be should they decide to seek the nomination. The rankings are NOT based on how strong the candidates would be in winning in a General Election against President Obama. The rankings will be adjusted day to day as events and information warrant. Rankings do not indicate an endorsement or preference for a particular candidate. Candidates included are those who have either indicated they may run, or individuals for which there is great speculation they will run.
