CNN's Jeffrey Toobin: "Gay Rights Rally In Washington Had Just About As Many People" as 9/12 March on Washington - Video 10/24/09

Here is video of a panel on CNN talking about the White House and it's war on Fox News.

Towards the end of the video Jeffrey Toobin said that "when Fox News decides that the tea parties, and the rally in Washington by the tea party people is a big story...well you know there was a gay rights rally in Washington with just about as many people that got almost no coverage because it didn't have a television network pushing it." Rick Sanchez responded to this by saying "that's a good point."

Why anyone would watch CNN and believe anything they have to say is beyond me. Who or what gives you the right to determine if an organization is a News organization or not? No one gives you the right.

If we followed your logic, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and MSNBC would all be categorized as entertainment networks or the left hand of the Democratic party. I, under my own power, delcare your organizations as merely entertainment venues and NOT news venues.

How do you like that one?

Dipsticks....

What did CNN say that was inaccurate in any way? Last month, you had one group of Faux Teabaggers who were promoted like a breakfast cereal by Faux Not-Really-News. And then you had another group of real teabaggers who got little news coverage. What was inaccurate about any of that?

The point was, you troll, that if someone can say that Fox is not a real news station, they can say it about anyone of the wanna be's out there like CNN and MSNBC. So let's get this straight, stupid, this is about the first amensment and the current administrations abuse of power. If Bush did this, or any other Republican president, the press would have been all over this and complained night and day like squealing pigs. As such, I have not seen this happen.

And as for the other "news" stations, whenever I turn them on (CNN and MSNBC for sure) the bias and leftist propaganda is god awful. I would rather hear the truth and reason I hear on Fox then the bloated, victimized reporting and opinions on CNN and MSNBC.

First off, Toobin and Sanchez didn't say anything about Faux not being a real news station. They said that the gay rights protest didn't get media coverage because it didn't have a whole TV network pushing it, like Faux did with the Faux Teabaggers. Completely different point, and an accurate one.

As for this being an issue of the "first amensment" (whatever that is) think again. Nobody is saying that Faux commentators can't say whatever they want to say. the White House is also entitled to express their opinion that Faux is Faux News... which it is. And you're free to disagree with either opinion.

What with the abuses committed by the Bush Administration (warrantless searches and wiretaps, illegal confinements and interrogations, etc) the current administration has a looooooooong way to go before they're even in the same zip code as the Bushites.

A long way from being as bad as Bush. Get your head out of your butt.

He has abused all sorts of power and even has some critics comparing him to Nixon. Hmmm... He was impeached so let's hope we go on this path so the great O gets the same.
