NBC's Chuck Todd Says Investigating Van Jones was Not a Good Use of Mainstream Media Time - Video 9/15/09
Here is video of NBC's Chuck Todd this morning saying it would have been a waste of the Mainstream Media's time to investigate Van Jones because he was not a big enough fish. Todd actually said essentially that with a straight face today as he talked to MSNBC's Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski.
Scarborough had asked Todd about the lack of Mainstream Media coverage of the Van Jones story. Todd suggested he was #600 on the White House Staff. That is utterly ridiculous.
Van Jones was hand-picked by Obama and Adviser Valerie Jarrett, who said they had been following Jones' career and work on "Green Jobs" very closely. They knew Jones well, knew his radical past, and brought him into the White House anyway.
As if we did not already know it, Chuck Todd has shown himself to be a total tool of the Obama Administration with this statement. The truth is that the Mainstream Media - Todd included - sought to actively assist Obama by ignoring the Van Jones story, never dreaming he could be forced out without them covering it. The Van Jones story was just one story. You can be sure they are sitting on many others, actively seeking to protect the President they worked so hard to elect. They are invested in Obama - and are now trying to protect their investment.
