Michelle Obama Decrees U.S. Health Care is "Unacceptable" - Video 9/18/09

Here is video of First Lady Michelle Obama decreeing today that current U.S. Health Care is "unacceptable." She was speaking to a group of women at the White House.

She was speaking in grave tones, as if women in America are in some kind of 3rd world Banana Republic. I guess Michelle believes it is time for her to weigh in with her view to help push ObamaCare across the goal line.

Something tells me she won't change a lot of minds -- in Obama's favor.

NOTE: Has Michelle ever found anything about the United States "acceptable?"

If the First Lady really wants to fix healthcare, she should point out the following. Given that the federal Constitution is silent about public healthcare, the 10th A. automatically reserves government power to regulate and lay taxes for healthcare to the states, not the Oval Office and Congress.

So the FL really needs to say the following. She needs to say that the Oval Office and Congress need to apologize to the states for wrongly usurping state powers and return all tax dollars that the feds have wrongly collected in the name of public healthcare to the states.

She also needs to say that the feds will clean up healthcare programs before turning them over to the states. But the states would never get them then.

Finally, the following link should help people get up to speed as to how voters have shot themselves in the foot with a big, corrupt federal government as a consequence of the ill-conceived, anti-state sovereignty 16th and 17th Amendments.

The 16th & 17th Amendments and the big, corrupt fed. gov.

Oh, will the depth of rightwingnut ignorance never end?

It's called the Commerce Clause, moron. Look it up: Article I, Section 8, Clause 3:

[The Congress shall have power] "To regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several states, and with the Indian tribes"

And the Elastic Clause: Article 1, Section 8, Clause 18:

"The Congress shall have Power - To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof."

And guess what? God didn't create the world in seven 24-hour days, either.

That's the problem with literalists: they can't think inside OR outside the box.
