Democrat Alan Grayson Refuses to Apologize to Republicans; Likens Lack of ObamaCare to the "Holocaust" - Video 9/30/09

Here is video of Florida Democrat Rep. Alan Grayson defiantly refusing to apologize for his shameful attack on Republicans last night in a speech from the House Floor. Grayson actually said that Republicans' only Health Plan is for people to "not get sick," and if they get sick, to "die quickly."

He responded to calls today that he apologize by saying he will "apologize to the dead," referring, he says, to those who have died in what he called a "holocaust" in America. In his short, pathetic remarks, Grayson managed to compare not having a Government Health Care Plan to those who died in Iraq, those who died in the September 11 attacks, and the "Holocaust," which uniformly is used to refer to the Nazi extermination of the Jews during World War II.

Yet, so far, there are no calls from Democrats for him to apologize - this from the same bunch who were quick to call for apologies for Rep. Joe Wilson when he shouted "You Lie" to President Obama earlier this month.

As evidenced by these partisan attacks, federal lawmakers on both sides of the fence are wrongly overlooking the following MAJOR constitutional problem with Obamacare.

More specifically, given that the federal Constitution is silent about public healthcare, the 10th A. automatically reserves government power to regulate and lay taxes for healthcare to the states, not the Oval Office and Congress.

In fact, Chief Justice Marshall had established the following case precedent, now wrongly ignored, which appropriately limits the power of the feds to lay taxes.

"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." --Chief Justice Marshall, GIBBONS V. OGDEN (1824) http://supreme.justia.com/us/22/1/case.html

So not only is misguided Obama's proposed healthcare constitutionally unauthorized, but based on Justice Marshall's official words, the corrupt Congress never had the power to lay taxes to fund such a program in the first place.

What's going on is that state sovereignty-ignorant voters have been electing lawmakers to both the state legislatures and the federal senate who are as state sovereignty-impaired as the voters are. Consequently, these lawmakers have not been doing their jobs to protect state sovereignty by protecting citizens from illegal federal taxes and unconstitutional federal government interference in their lives, illegal Obamacare being an example of such interference.

Finally, the following link should help give people an idea as to how state sovereignty-ignorant voters have shot themselves in the foot with big, corrupt federal government as a consequence of the ill-conceived, anti-state sovereignty 16th and 17th Amendments.
