South Korean YE Yang Wins PGA Championship Over Woods to Make History - Video 8/16/09
YE Yang Wins 2009 PGA Championship - 18th Hole Highlights
YE Yang Chips in for Eagle on the 14th Hole
Here is video of South Korean Golfer YE Yang winning the 2009 PGA Championship, becoming the first Asian to ever win a Major Golf Championship.
Yang did it in dramatic style. He overcame Tiger Woods, becoming the first player to ever defeat Tiger Woods in a Major Championship when Woods led after 54 holes. Woods had been a perfect 11-0 in Majors when he had the lead going into the final round.
Yang hit two incredible shots down the stretch to vault over Woods and take the crown. He chipped in for eagle at the par-5 14th hole, which put him in the lead over Woods. Then, with a one shot lead on the 18th, his second shot had to clear a tree and land on the green. He used a 3-hybrid, hit it over the tree with the ball landing on the green and stopping only about 8 feet from the hole. He then calmly sank the birdie putt, while Tiger Woods closed out with a bogey. It was a three shot win for Yang who finished at -8.

Tiger woods’ magical streak, going 8 for 8 winning majors when he led after 36 holes, had to become an end sometime.
We expected that Woods’ magic would be broken someday; however, we never expect it would be Yang to do this.
