Sen. John McCain Refuses to Criticize Sarah Palin; Says Dem Health Bill Had Board for End of Life Decisions - Video 8/23/09

Here is video of Sen. John McCain today on This Week with George Stephanopoulos where he said that Gov. Sarah Palin was right that the original version of the Democrats Health Bill contained provisions that called for a "board" to decide appropriate care for people in different situations that could arise. McCain said he knows it was there because Republicans offered amendments to clarify what such a "board" could do, but the amendments were rejected by Democrats.

McCain made the comments in answer to a question by Stephanopoulos designed to get him to put down Palin for what have been described as her "death panels" remark. McCain would not criticize her, although he would not use the term death panels." But McCain insisted that a provision of that type was in a Democrat plan and that they resisted removing it.
