Sen. Charles Grassley Tells Town Hall "End of Life" Should Begin with Jesus Christ - Not Politicians - Video 8/12/09

Here is video of Sen. Charles Grassley yesterday at a Town Hall Meeting in Iowa where he said that if a person wants to think about "end of life", number one, Jesus Christ is the place to start." The crowd erupted into applause. He went on to say that if you are talking only about the physical life, as opposed to Eternal Life, "it ought to be done within the family, and considered a religious and ethical issue, and not something that politicians deal with." Once again, the crowd just erupted with applause and approval!

Grassley was sparring with a questioner about the Democrats' Health Care Bill that talks about "end of life counseling" being provided to people, raising the specter of a panel deciding "Grandma has lived too long," a type of passive euthanasia in which people who are very sick or very old could be encouraged to just give up and die.

Next time you are terribly sick or injured, will you leave your healing to Jesus, or a doctor?

God bless Grassly, Is he the only sane politician this country has?

As a born again believer I would follow the Bible and first call for believing elders of my church to pray. If I were a skeptic I would go to the doctor and ask a real Christian to pray for me just in case!

2012 Possible GOP Contenders: Power Rankings

Here is a list of possible GOP Contenders for the 2012 Republican Nomination for President. They are listed in “Power Ranked” order based on our subjective analysis of how strong the candidates would be should they decide to seek the nomination. The rankings are NOT based on how strong the candidates would be in winning in a General Election against President Obama. The rankings will be adjusted day to day as events and information warrant. Rankings do not indicate an endorsement or preference for a particular candidate. Candidates included are those who have either indicated they may run, or individuals for which there is great speculation they will run.
