Politics Fills Prayer Intercessions Led by Ted Kennedy Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews - Video 8/29/09
Here is video from Sen. Edward (Ted) Kennedy's Funeral Service in Boston today, where his grandchildren and younger nieces and nephews led the congregation in the "Prayers of the Faithful," or intercessions. As you will hear, they infused the prayers with politics, including the prayer that the "cause of his life to see every American have decent quality health care as a fundamental right and not a privilege," be realized.

May the Catholic bishops gag on the intercessions as they continue to betray that they are simply Republican talking puppets and not true religious leaders . . . . .
"Decent quality health care" is the political topic of the moment, for sure, but it also was one of Teddy Kennedy's passions for decades. I don't know where I heard it this weekend, but somebody suggested that the thought of Teddy Kennedy's funeral being void of politics is like Michael Jackson's being void of music. (Although I'm not an MJ fan and didn't watch a second of his service!)
