People Reneging on Car Donations to take Government "Cash for Clunkers" - Video

Here is a video report about the impact the Government give-away program "Cash for Clunkers" is having on both charities and the Used Car Business. It seems many people who had committed to give an old car to a charity as a donation are reneging on their decision and opting to take the government cash instead.

A good example of how what Government does to create an artificial, momentary stimulus in one sector, does damage to others. Of course, the Government now owns a majority stake in the new car business, and has a vested interest to promote it. But it has no such interest in charities or used cars.
