Obama Cites Failure of Post Office to Support Turning Health Care Over to the Government - Video 8/11/09
Here is video of President Obama today at his Health Care Town Hall Meeting using the example of the success of FedEx and UPS as evidence that the Government should be more involved in the Health Care of U.S. Citizens. Of course, since FedEx and UPS are private companies, they are evidence of the opposite!
Of course, Obama was trying to say that private health care can survive alongside a Government "public option." But UPS and FedEx are not delivering regular mail - primarily packages or special delivery items. Obama is talking about the Federal Government moving in on a private health care system and with unlimited taxpayer financing doing the same thing the private sector is already doing. There is no way that a private health care system will survive for long if ObamaCare is passed.
What people should be more concerned about is Obama's statement, "It's the post office that's always having problems."
Exactly. If the Government can't run and fund the post office effectively and efficiently, why would we want to turn over one-sixth of the U.S. Economy to them to operate? If we do, you can expect the Post Office on steroids!
