Here is video of MSNBC's Chris Matthews last night talking with former First Lady Nancy Reagan by phone on the death of Ted Kennedy.
Nancy Reagan said she and former President Ronald Reagan were very close to Kennedy, with her becoming closer in recent years because of their agreement on "stem cells."
Matthews pointed out Reagan gave an award to the late Bobby Kennedy's widow, Ethel, that Jimmy Carter had held up. There was always great animosity between the Kennedys and Jimmy Carter.
Note: Of course, funding for "Stem Cell Research" using Adult Stem Cells has not been the issue. "Embryonic Stem Cell Research" is what many conservatives and those who support Right to Life have issue with. People like Chris Matthews tend to want to lump it all together as if there is no difference.
Nancy Reagan said she would "miss" Ted Kennedy and that she hopes we get a Health Care Bill of "some kind," although she said she does not know enough about the bill to talk about it.
