MSNBC's O'Donnell Unhinged on Air; GOP Rep. Culberson Says "You Wonder Why Nobody Watches MSNBC?" - Video 8/14/09

Here is unbelievable video tonight of MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell giving the most despicable display of rudeness to a guest I think I have ever seen. He had GOP Rep. John Culberson on and rudely badgered him again and again because he would not answer the way O'Donnell wanted him to answer.

He was badgering him over Social Security and Medicare's origins, which is not what is being decided today. Culberson nailed him eventually by saying, "Do you wonder why nobody watches MSNBC?"

O'Donnell flat out called Culberson a liar. He was totally unhinged. Culberson responded:

"You call me a liar on national television? It's objectionable. It's offensive."

I've never seen an interviewer on a network or cable news network behave this badly. O'Donnell is unhinged because he knows Obama is losing the battle on Health Care. Expect more of this behavior as the moment of decision on ObamaCare draws near.

MSNBC is populated by douchbags

I already knew why no one watches msnbc, but he just reminded me.

I certainly dont need to get my info from such a source.

Pathetic host...

Amazing. Of course, a lefty blog hailed ODonnell as their new hero. That was NOT journalism. Kudos to Culberson for getting in the MSNBC dig about their horrid ratings. My cable provider just took them off their basic package, and moved them into the ozone on channel 492 or thereabouts.

Larry O'Donnell almost out did his performance where he called O'Neil the swift boat author a creepy liar.

Yes. Let's attack the messenger for his disgraceful hardball conduct. Better that than understand the hypocrisy of the poor congressman's unwavering support of medicare and social security.

Not journalism.

Ever see a Democrat treated so disrespectfully on MSNBC?

Of course not.

No justification for this rude and unprofessional "interview". None.

Yeah for Lawrence O'Donnell. Someone finally standing up for the truth. Culberson wouldn't answer the question - not that any of you would understand that! All you know how to do is lie. It's offensive to hear them Republicans try to scare the senior citizens with their lies. If he thinks healthcare reform is socialism than why doesn't he want to get rid of Social Security and Medicare. You can't have it both ways!

The 'greatest generation' voted themselves a sweet deal in 1965 with Medicare. Because they had a lot of kids(the Baby Boom)to pay for it, it was affordable. Now that the Baby Boomers are approaching eligibility age, the ponzi scheme will collapse. We cannot pass this burden onto our kids and grandkids. Medicare must be phased out. That's what O'Donnell wanted the Congressman to admit, so that Democrats could wail that Republicans wnat to end Medicare. Fact is, we need to end Medicare.

Holy crap, that was rediculous. MSNBC sucks.

Medicare and SS are socialist programs and the idiot on MSNBC knows the people of this country are so enthralled with entitlements that it would not be wise for the GOP congressman to tell the truth on the matter.

If that was a Fox News interviewer treating a guest like that, sponsors would be canceling ads, and the far left wackos would be screaming for him to be fired.

Oh, you mean like Glenn Dreck?

I think its funny the way some here try to pin the blame on these Republicans or those Democrats for the massive growth of government and its socialistic tendencies.

In fact it took BOTH parties over a long period of time to bring us where we are. It's a one party sham, and you are all like a couple of little snot nosed brothers fighting in a tiny sandbox. LOL!!!

I just watched the interview I think O'Donnell did a great job I am sick and tired of politicians spinning their way out of answering a question.. I may not have the same views as O'Donnell, but he did a great job slapping that Culberson around.. He had his talking points and o'donnell wanted simple answers.. By the way the woman their talking about.. If the constitution was reset like she wants, she wouldn't have been able to ask the questions she did... The suffrage act would be repealed moron..

I don't know where O'Donnell gets off the short bus. He didn't even give the Congressman a chance to lie before calling him a liar.

The liberal media learned long ago not to let the facts get in the way.Bring up non relevant subjects and push push push for an answer that means squat.

Mr. O'Donnell:

Sometimes it is better to be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Good Bye.. Rude and ignorant pompous ***. I will not watch this biased show ever again and I will tell everyone I know not to watch either. This is such a one sided controversial program... Lets start a facebook poll on this matter..

Great, if Medicare isn't socialism (i thought it was) then we have our answer. Just expand Medicare to everyone.
