Three Dallas Children Rescued from Starvation in a Locked Bathroom - Video 7/19/09
Here is a video report about a shocking story out of Dallas, where three children have been rescued from a home, where police say they were being starved in a locked bathroom.
The children were finally rescued when the mother called police saying she was afraid of her husband, the children's step-father. But when police saw the children, they were taken to a children's advocacy center and examined by a doctor, who said they were "severely emaciated," and that their nutritional status was "life threatening." They have since been treated at a hospital and are now in foster care. Both parents have been arrested, with police saying the mother is being held because she knew of the abuse for a long time and did nothing.
Exit Question: How often does senseless abuse of children go on like this in America?

I'll tell you how this happens. Women are forced by circumstances to be financially dependent on the husbands, and there are no safety-nets built into the American gov't to protect these women and their children, so this happens. DFS is no safety net for women. They are an evil entity designed by the gov't to pull families apart, not put them together and teach those who need parenting skills. Bad gov't and allowed abuse of women cause these things to happen, plain and simple.
