No Democrat Co-Sponsors to Resolution Requiring Them to Use Public Option They Seek to Push on America - Video 7/16/09

Here is Rep. John Flemming who is sponsoring House Resolution 615 which would require members of Congress who vote for the Democrats Health Care Bill to sign up for the public option they are seeking to foist on the American people. Flemming has more than 40 co-sponsors for the resolution, all Republicans, but have not had a single Democrat sign up to co-sponsor it.

Under the Democrats bill, members of Congress would be exempt from having to use the Public Option.

This amendment is an interesting sideline, but we really need to defeat this legislation.

I am appalled by these politicians who live high on the hog off of MY hard earned tax dollars. Everyone in Washington D.C. should have to count on Social Security for their retirement and, if they pass this ludicrous bill, their new social medicine plan. IF I WANTED TO LIVE IN CANADA, I WOULD LIVE IN CANADA!!! (Nothing against our Canadian friends, I just don't want their health care). We need to regulate all these fat-cat CEO's and their multi-million dollar salaries and multi-million dollar bonuses!! Where has commonsense gone?

This bill is based on a bogus argument and is an attempt to EMOTIONALIZE the issue with lies and misinformation in order to kill it. Why should congress take the public option when the President has made it clear that NOONE, neither politician nor regular citizen, will be forced to change their health plan? There are more than 200 Republicans in the House. If the bill is so obviously good, why have only 40 Republicans signed on? In a nutshell, the two main purposes of healthcare reform are (1), to LOWER healthcare costs by insuring the uninsured, which will LOWER costs by keeping them more healthy and decrease costly emergency room treatment, and (2), to lower the cost of healthcare by getting pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies and hospitals to lower their costs and to increase efficiency within the healthcare industry overall.

Again, NOONE will be forced to changed their Dr, or their plan. Also, there is a provision that has been agreed upon by virtually everyone that NO ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS WILL BE COVERED under the plan.

One could go on and on, but there are so many lies being told by Republicans that it would take several books to cover them all.

Here's my suggestion: why don't we discuss this now and withhold judgment until we see what is actually in a final plan?
