Gov. Mitt Romney Running Strong Against Obama in 2012 Presidential Poll - Rasmussen
If the 2012 Election were held today, former Gov. Mitt Romney would tie President Barack Obama according to a new Rassmussen Reports poll. Both Romney and Obama would get 45% of the vote.
Romney runs stronger against Obama than Gov. Sarah Palin. The Rasmussen survey found that 48% would vote for Obama and 42% for Palin.
45% Mitt Romney
45% Barack Obama
48% Barack Obama
42% Sarah Palin
Romney is undoubtedly benefiting from his business and executive experience in the poll. If the economy is not doing well in 2012, I would say Romney will have an outstanding platform from which to run, as the candidate who has turned bad situations (Olympics) around before. But it's a long time to 2012.
