Glenn Beck Says President Obama is a "Racist" - Video 7/28/09

Here is video from this morning of Glenn Beck on Fox and Friends where he said bluntly that he believes President Obama "has a deep-seated hatred of white people, or the white culture, I don't know what it is . . ." Beck said that in connection with the remarks Obama made last week attacking the police officer who arrested Harvard Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr.

Beck later said he believes Obama is a "racist," and points to his association with Jeremiah Wright and others that he has appointed to offices in his administration.

I think it is a mistake for Beck to go this far. It is fair game to criticize Obama for his remarks last week, but to call him a "racist" is to judge the intent of his heart. Now, it is true that Democrats are quick to judge others in that way, but just because they frequently do that to conservatives does not mean we should respond in kind.

I don't know if this is such an outlandish statement. I mean Obama was a member of a church which espoused hatred towards white people. I mean everyone has seen the videos of Rev Wright, that was his pastor and mentor. People have amnesia? They dont remember this? I guess people dont pay attention to information that doesnt compute with their belief system. I always thought Obama was a racist, how could someone be a member of a church for 20 years, and listen to that hatred?

And here I thought that "guilt by association" was something we didn't particularly subscribe to in this country. My bad.

But, Anon, your comment begs another question: are worshippers at the Church of Beck, or the Cathedral of Limbaugh, automatically racist, too?

He's guilty by participation.

Rev Wright - Racist
Farrakhan - Racist
Michelle - Racist
Frank Davis - Racist
Bill Ayers - Racist

He surrounds himself with these people because he's one of them

Your little grocery list shows exactly what's wrong with your "theory:.

There has been NO connection ever made between Obama and Louis Farrakhan. Farrakhan has commented on Obama, but that's it. No connection otherwise.

Bill Ayers is a racist? A white racist? A white guy who's racist for blacks? Huh?

And Michelle? Obama's a bad guy because of who he's married to? Nonsense.

Does anybone who recognizes that there has been and still is a racial issue in America, and racial disparities, a "racist"?

Does anyone who sees a white cop harrass a black guy qualify as a "racist"?

Does anyone who acknowledges that America has had a long and sordid history of discriminating against blacks, Hispanics, Asians, and Native Americans get labelled a "racist"?

I totally agree with Beck. Obama showed his true feelings as soon as he opened his mouth and made that comment!
