White House Denies President Obama Bowed to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia - Video

Politico.com reports that the White House is denying that President Obama bowed to Saudi King Abdullah last week during the G-20 Summit in London:

The White House is denying that the president bowed to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia at a G-20 meeting in London, a scene that drew criticism on the right and praise from some Arab outlets.

"It wasn't a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he's taller than King Abdullah," said an Obama aide, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

The Washington Times called the alleged bow a "shocking display of fealty to a foreign potentate" and said it violated centuries of American tradition of not deferring to royalty. The Weekly Standard, meanwhile, noted that American protocol apparently rules out bowing, or at least it reportedly did on the occasion of a Clinton "near-bow" to the emperor of Japan.

Interestingly, a columnist in the Saudi-backed Arabic paper Asharq Alawsat also took the gesture as a bow and appreciated the move.
Yet, when you watch the video above, it clearly shows Obama bowing at about the 54 second mark of the video, not just slightly bending down to shake hands with a shorter person. Who do they think they are kidding?

Incidentally, several readers of our previous post on this video have tried to make the case that it is not Obama in the video. It absolutely is Obama, and Politico.com has posted the same video as evidence over at their site. The White House denial would indicate they are feeling the heat about this gaffe, and are trying to knock it down before it gains more steam. I don't think it's working!

Here's a picture of the genuflecting fool taken from a different angle. You can clearly see him practically prostrate himself before this despotic tyrant and Islamic religious zealot who sponsors terrorism and intolerant Wahhabi Islam around the world.

President Obama did bow.

The white house really thinks Americans are that stupid and can't see for ourselves that he
DID BOW so a formal statement which is a lie has to be made up
to cover up another mistake made
by this President.

Doesn't bow to the queen but to
this tyrant. To think this President represents the United State. It is going to be a
looooooooooong 4 years.

Sorry, back on subject, c'mon you guys -get some substance. It's not like this president molested a head of state. He didn't puke - he didn't even pass out. And really, no serious person thinks any of this shit matters more than wars, recessions, torture policies, famine, ethnic genocide, climate change, energy independence (I apologize to any REAL issues omitted here)

"two handed grasp" Are you kidding? Would that not mean using the LEFT hand as well in a handshake with a Muslim leader?? How stupid does the WH think we are. Oh yes, they know how stupid we are. By the way, you can clearly SEE BHO's left hand down by his side at the 53 second mark. Clearly.

2012 Possible GOP Contenders: Power Rankings

Here is a list of possible GOP Contenders for the 2012 Republican Nomination for President. They are listed in “Power Ranked” order based on our subjective analysis of how strong the candidates would be should they decide to seek the nomination. The rankings are NOT based on how strong the candidates would be in winning in a General Election against President Obama. The rankings will be adjusted day to day as events and information warrant. Rankings do not indicate an endorsement or preference for a particular candidate. Candidates included are those who have either indicated they may run, or individuals for which there is great speculation they will run.
