Terrell Owens Says Jerry Jones was "Persuaded" to Drop Him from the Dallas Cowboys - Video 3/30/09
Here is video of ESPN's Darren Woodson talking about comments made by Terrell Owens regarding his release from the Dallas Cowboys. Owens reportedly said owner Jerry Jones was "persuaded" to let him go by his son Stephen Jones. Woodson believes Tony Romo, Jason Garrett and others also had a hand in persuading Jones to drop Owens. As a result, Woodson believes the pressure is really on, not only Coach Wade Phillips to produce this coming season, but also on QB Tony Romo since the perception in Dallas is that "Romo ran Owens out of Dallas." Owens has since signed a one-year contract with the Buffalo Bills.
Woodson played his entire career for Dallas, from 1992-2004, and played on all three of Dallas' Super Bowl teams of the 1990's.
