British MEP Daniel Hannan Warns U.S. About National Health Care - Video
Here is video of British Member of the European Parliament Daniel Hannan talking with Sean Hannity recently where he discussed the danger of socialized medicine. He said to Americans, "please do not make the mistake" of nationalized health care. He said it is bad for doctors, bad for patients, and bad for taxpayers.
Hannan skyrocketed to fame this past week with a speech at the European Parliament stating conservative principles as he took Prime Minister Gordon Brown to the woodshed.

I have personal knowledge of this as a medical device manufacturing professional. My GM explained how he knows of top flight surgeons who will simply shut down their medical centers and just fly out to Dubai or the Emirates for a few weeks, do surgeries for some $$, and then just fly home. Simple.
Socialized medicine means all the worst surgeons, the ones that aren't good enough to hack it in private practice, will be there in the government run meat shops.

Thanks so much for sharing your insight. From all indications, a Government-run Health Care system will result in a rationing of care and a lower standard of care. With the incentive for doctors to flourish taken away, it will doubtless result in fewer top flight doctors and a lower quality of care. Everyone will have it, but what will we really have?
