Here are remarks made by Vice-President Joe Biden today at the signing of the $787 Billion Stimulus Bill. He was his usual overly-dramatic self, and played the sycophant (Dictionary.com: "a self-seeking, servile flatterer; fawning parasite") role for Obama well ahead of the bill signing. Among other things, Biden said the Stimulus Plan would turn around the vicious cycle of job losses, lack of consumer spending and business failures.
OK, we need to hold the Obama Stimulus Bill to that standard. Within a month or two, we should see a drop in the unemployment rate. Biden set that standard today with his guarantee that this bill will end the cycle of job losses. Let's see where unemployment is six months from now, and also inflation and interest rates. My guess is we will see inflation begin to rise as all this money gets pumped into the economy, and to fight that, interest rates will begin to rise as well.
