Shocker: Hardball Panel Critical of Obama on Stimulus, Leadership, Tim Geithner - Video 2/23/09

Is the bloom on the rose starting to fade? Here is video of a Hardball Panel led by none other than Chris Matthews himself actually being critical of the leadership of Barack Obama thus far on the economy! They have typically been as partisan for Obama as possible, but Matthews, along with Howard Fineman and Euguene Robinson, are more than a little critical of the Stimulus Plan and Obama's ability thus far to really convince the nation that he knows what he is doing.

NOTE: Matthews calls Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner "Barney Fife" during the discussion, and Eugene Robinson calls him "Doogie Howser." In other words, he has not managed to even impress the partisan hacks in the Democratic Party.

2012 Possible GOP Contenders: Power Rankings

Here is a list of possible GOP Contenders for the 2012 Republican Nomination for President. They are listed in “Power Ranked” order based on our subjective analysis of how strong the candidates would be should they decide to seek the nomination. The rankings are NOT based on how strong the candidates would be in winning in a General Election against President Obama. The rankings will be adjusted day to day as events and information warrant. Rankings do not indicate an endorsement or preference for a particular candidate. Candidates included are those who have either indicated they may run, or individuals for which there is great speculation they will run.
